Ingredients
ActiDerm Ointment contains:
- Liquid Paraffin BP 40% w/w
- Yellow Soft Paraffin BP 30% w/w
- Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax 30% w/w (containing cetostearyl alcohol and ceteareth-20).
Instructions for Use
All-Purpose Emollient
ActiDerm Ointment helps soothe, moisturise and protect dry, sensitive and irritated skin. Apply gently to affected areas using a smooth stroking motion in the direction of hair growth. Use liberally and as often as required. Ensure hands are clean before application.
Bath Additive
Melt the ointment in warm water using a suitable container and mix thoroughly before adding to the bath. Ensure the mixture has cooled sufficiently before use. After bathing, gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel. Care should be taken as the bath surface may become slippery.
Soap Substitute
Use as required during washing or showering as a gentle alternative to soap that helps cleanse without drying the skin.
Always take extra care when using emollients after bathing, as this may increase the risk of slipping and falling.
Warnings and Precautions
Do not smoke or go near naked flames while using this product. Fabrics such as clothing, bedding and dressings that come into contact with emollients may burn more easily and present a serious fire hazard. Washing fabrics may reduce residue build-up but may not remove it completely.
Do not use ActiDerm if your skin is badly cracked, infected or bleeding unless advised by a healthcare professional.
This product contains cetostearyl alcohol and ceteareth-20, which may cause local skin reactions such as contact dermatitis, stinging or burning sensations in sensitive individuals.
Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean running water.
If irritation occurs, symptoms worsen, or you notice any unusual effects, discontinue use and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
For external use only. Store below 25°C and keep the container tightly closed after use. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
